Aaron G. Fisher, 85, of Lancaster, was called to his eternal home by his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 15, 2012.
He was married 57 years to the late Malinda Stoltzfus Fisher who died in 2006. Born in Gap, PA he was the son of the late Benjamin J. and Lena Glick Fisher.
Aaron was a member of the Weavertown Amish Mennonite Church in Bird-In-Hand and the Gideons International. He had various occupations throughout his life and was last employed by Ressler’s Mill for 10 years where he enjoyed being a tour guide. He enjoyed socializing with people of all walks of life and enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
Surviving are four daughters, Lena wife of Bob Sloyer of Lancaster, Ada, wife of John Stoltzfoos of Silver Spring, Naomi, wife of Mervin L. Glick of Lancaster, and Rose, wife of David Shenk of Ronks; a son, Aaron, Jr. husband of Dawn Eberly Fisher of Prospect, VA; 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; five brothers, Elmer husband of Mary Fisher of Strasburg, Menno Fisher of Lancaster, Ben J. husband of Emma Fisher of Gap, John, husband of Anna Fisher of Rebersburg, and Alvin husband of Anna Fisher of Friedens. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Esh and by brothers, Leon, Christie and Jesse Fisher.
Everyone is invited to attend the Funeral Service which will be held at the Weavertown Amish Mennonite Church, 2900 Church Road, Bird-In-Hand, PA on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. A viewing will be held at the church Sunday evening from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. and on Monday from 9:45 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. Please omit flowers.
