Abram “Ken” Hartsough, 85, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care. He was the loving husband of Kathryn E. (Rittenhouse) Hartsough with whom he celebrated 67 years of marriage. Born in Manor Township, PA, he was the son of the late Clayton and Pearl (Mowrey) Hartsough.
In his early years he enjoyed working with youth by coaching local baseball and softball teams. In his spare time he enjoyed making memories at his hunting camp with his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
After retiring from Burnam, he enjoyed driving school bus for Manheim Township, and served as a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society.
He was a man of strong faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 4 children; a daughter Linda Benner, and three sons; Donald, David, and Richard Hartsough. He was predeceased by his first son Abram K. Hartsough, Jr. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his brother and sister; William Hartsough and Gladys Coulter.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
