Ada E. (Ruth) Gockley Good

Ada E. (Ruth) Gockley Good, 95, went into the presence of her Lord on March 19, 2013. Born in Terre Hill, she was daughter of the late Harvey M. and Carrie (Ammon) Ruth.

Ada was the wife of the Rev. Robert W. Gockley (deceased). Surviving are a daughter, Sandra R. Lane, Willow Street, and a son, the Rev. Robert W. Gockley II, Huntingdon Valley, PA. Eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Later Ada married Robert E. Good (deceased) and they shared 18 years together. Additionally, she is survived by one brother Harvey A. Ruth. Three siblings, George H. Ruth, Mary Ruth Rutter and Gertrude Ruth Ruoss predeceased her.

As a young woman growing up in Lancaster she attended Girls High School, worked in a factory and waitressed. As a pastor’s wife she dedicated her life to her family and Christian work including choir, teaching, shut-in visitation, Christian Endeavor and various missionary societies. She worked part-time for Berkshire Industries.

Private internment at Terre Hill Cemetery. A life celebration service will be held at Willow Valley Lakes Manor, 300 Willow Valley Lakes Dr., Willow Street, PA 17584, on April 21, 2013 at 2:30 PM.
