Alfred S. Willard, III, loving son, brother and uncle, born September 5, 1948, passed away at age 68 on December 28, 2016 at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy, PA. He can now walk, run, jump and speak without any disabilities.
Al is lovingly remembered for his good humor, booming laugh, iron clad memory of birth dates, and his love of checkers and dominoes (while cheating only once in a while.)
Al was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret M. and Alfred S. Willard, Jr. He is survived by his brothers: Mark (Wendy), Wesley, Andrew (Rosie), and Austin (Alma); three nieces; seven nephews; five great-nieces and ten great- nephews.
Al graduated from J.P. McCaskey High School and Goldey- Beacom Junior College. While he was able to work, he was employed by Gino’s, Burger King, Garvins, Goodwill Industries and Watt & Shand. Al was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster.
The family is grateful for, and wants to thank his nurses and doctors at Hospice and Lancaster General Hospital for their loving care and understanding.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 140 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
