Alice Diane Bowen, 65, of Lancaster, died Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Lancaster General
Hospital.
Born in Iowa City, Iowa she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and Blythe Hummer Bowen.
Diane received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and her Master’s degree from Michigan State University. She was employed as a social worker for the State of Michigan for many years.
Diane was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marengo, Iowa. She enjoyed sports, music, reading, nature, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are two sisters, Betty C. wife of Richard B. Duncan of Lancaster, and Carol E. Meyer of Peachtree City, GA; a brother, John C. husband of Evelyn Bowen of Walworth, NY; and many nieces and nephews including Cindy Duncan LaMaster, Lancaster,PA, Debbie Duncan Vittorio, Chalfont, PA and David Duncan, Columbia, PA.
Services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Marengo Cemetery, Marengo, Iowa.
