Amy Wojtaszek Vaughn, 44, of Englewood, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at her home. Born in Lawrence, MA she was the daughter of Patty Moulton.
She was a 1993 graduate of Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, FL. After high school, she attended the University of Florida and remained a Gator at heart.
Amy was an avid animal lover, loved the beach, collecting seashells, and loved the outdoors, and was a huge political, women’s rights, and children protection activist. She was an ambassador of the #resistance and had an impressive Twitter following, but her favorite hobby was candle making.
Surviving besides her mother, Patty, partner of George, her children; Zachary Shatney <3, Bailey Shatney-Uttermohlen <3, Cody Uttermohlen <3, Kinde Jackson <3, niece; Lily Wojtaszek <3, brother; Peter, husband of Cindy, Wojtaszek,
very loving best friends; Larry Overn, Michele Shamasian, Sean Howard and many more friends, a
very loving cousin; Craig Moulton, loving aunt; Carol, and many other loving relatives. She also leaves behind Luna <3 <3 <3, Owen <3 <3, and Lola <3, her loving pets.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
