Ann Trautman Fields, 88, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the Mennonite Home. In 2004 Ann entered Woodcrest Villa and transferred to the Mennonite Home in 2011.

Born January 13, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Robert and Frances Trautman. She was the wife of the late William F. Fields who died in 1975.

After completing K-12 in public schools in Chicago, Florida and Western Pennsylvania, she attended Carnegie Tech as an art major where she met her future husband William F. Fields who was a mechanical engineering major.

Ann worked as an art teacher for many years in the Hempfield School District. Following that she formed Ann Fields Studio and taught art classes . She produced kiln fired copper backed jewelry which was sold throughout the United States and some foreign gift shops. In her later years she focused on the art classes and her painting. She entered and won several art fairs

Surviving is a son, William F. Fields of Alphoretta, GA; a grandson, David Fields and two great grand children Kristopher and Jessica Fields of Smyrna, GA.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel at the Mennonite Home, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the Chapel on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA. in lieu of flowers, contributions in Ann’s memory may be made to The Lancaster County Art Association, 149 Precision Ave Strasburg, PA 17579.
