Anna L. Mentzer

Anna L. Mentzer, 87, of Bird-in-Hand, PA died Monday, Monday, July 1, 2013 at Lancashire Hall.  She was the wife of the late Harry E. Mentzer who died November 22, 2005.  Born in Strasburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Edith Lefever Goss.  Anna was a long time member of First United Methodist Church and worked as a kitchen helper at the former St. Joseph Hospital.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon L., wife of Richard Kauffman of Bird-in-Hand, Patricia Beard of Lancaster and Claudia, wife of Stanley Gantz of Lancaster; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth, wife of Robert Reese of Pequea and Ida, wife of Clare Mull of Quarryville; three brothers, Albert, husband of Eve Goss of Pequea, Aldus L. Goss of Strasburg and Lloyd L., husband of Jere Goss of Willow Street.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jane Mentzer and a son, Harry E. Mentzer, Jr.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service from Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. J. William Lentz, Jr. officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will be in Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery.
