Anna Ruth Cramer, 89, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in East Petersburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Willis and Anna Mae Sangrey Gerlach. She was married to Robert M. Cramer, who predeceased her in 1991. In 1998, she married Lewis R. Cramer, who predeceased her in 2005.
Ann was a loving mother who challenged her children with the repeated advice of “Always finish what you’ve started.” She was a member of the New Providence Church of God. Ann worked for many years at RCA and after retiring from there worked at Isaac’s in Ephrata.
Ann is survived by her loving companion, Lloyd S. Frey of Lancaster, who was always by her side, bringing much happiness in her later years.
She is survived by her four children, Barbara Baxter, wife of the late Allen Baxter, New Holland, PA, Linda Gray, wife of David Gray, Hyde Park, NY, James Cramer, husband of Dian, New Oxford, PA, and John Cramer, husband of Pamella, Denver, PA. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the youngest and last survivor in a family of 8 children. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one great grandson.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Masonville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Benevolent Fund at the Mennonite Home, 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
