Anthony Isaac De Bruin

Anthony Isaac De Bruin, 5, of Mount Joy, was called to his eternal home on August 12, 2014, as the days that the Lord formed for him came to an end. Born in Lancaster, Pa, he was a son of Troy A. and Amy B. (Underwood) De Bruin.

Anthony loved music. Every day he would sing, sit at the piano and listen to his siblings play, or play himself, teaching himself songs like “Mary Had a Little Lamb”. He would gather anyone who was nearby and conduct songs in rounds such as Three Blind Mice, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, and Father, I Adore You. He loved being with his family, jumping on the trampoline, and playing Ring Around the Rosie with other children. Anthony loved the clip clop of horses, enjoyed toy helicopters, and would often carry around and sleep with his purple lamb, affectionately called Lambie.

Anthony loved to snuggle and his bright smile, contagious laugh, and sweet face made him irresistible. Each of Anthony’s siblings loved him dearly and had their own special connection with him. They all had their favorite things to do with him, which he enjoyed immensely. Anthony was a great blessing to all those who spent time with him and he has changed our family forever for the better. He was truly a gift from the Lord for which we are forever grateful.

Anthony is now singing joyfully in the presence of Jesus, his suffering is over, and he is finally sleeping well.

In addition to his parents, Anthony is survived by five siblings at home: Alayna, Molly, Luke, Lydia, and Ella. Also surviving are paternal grandparents, Charles and Susan De Bruin of Lancaster and maternal grandparents, Mel and Janice Underwood of Strasburg.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Dr. Michael A. Rogers officiating.  Friends may greet the family following the service.  Private interment in the Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
