Carpenter; grandchildren, Derek Carpenter, Kevin, husband of Patricia Hurley Carpenter, and Tyler Colodonato, husband of Amy Bitner Colodonato; great-grandchildren, Cecilia and Lillian Carpenter; a nephew, Enzio Colodonato, husband of Amanda Prestash and their children Athena and Genevieve.  Also surviving are sisters, Julie, Jeannette, and Mary, wife of Michael Orlic; a brother Panteloeon Colodonato; as well as many nieces and nephews who knew and loved their “Uncle Tony.”  He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Colodonato, a brother Francis and a cousin Dominic DiPalma.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII earning The Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars among other recognitions.  Anyone who spent time with Tony knew how proud he was of our military and the time he served in North Africa and Europe.

He loved sports and was a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan.  He also loved gardening and in his later years, enjoyed playing Bingo and working on various crafts at Evergreen Estates, which he considered as his second home.  Time spent with his family and friends were his greatest joy.

The family would like to thank everyone at Evergreen Estates who took care of Tony in his later years as well as Grane Hospice, who cared for Tony during his last few days of his life. It was greatly appreciated.
