Lancaster

Antoinette June Easton 89, passed away on March 3, 2025, at Willow Valley Communities in Lancaster, PA. On that day, our family lost our matriarch, wonderful mother, loving wife, grandmother and friend. The world lost a beautiful voice, a lovely lady, our beautiful “Lady June”. We know she has joined God’s heavenly choir.

June was born to Giovanni and Frances (Cirigliano) De Rosa (Ross) on June 10, 1935, in Bradford, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings: brothers Richard (Dick), David, Patsy (Pat), Carmen, and John Ross; sisters Margaret (Peg) Schwartz and Elizabeth (Betty) Helbert. June grew up in Ashland, OH and graduated from Ashland High School where she excelled in drama, music, and cheerleading. She continued these activities at the University of Ashland, majoring in drama and music.

June established a successful career in Business Administration and retired as Benefits Manager, Kamoun Corporation in State College, PA. Her love of music continued with singing and directing several Sweet Adelines choruses and coaching/directing men’s Barbershop Harmony.

June became a single parent of 3 young children when her first marriage to William Jamison ended. She married her husband Ervin Easton, a widowed father of two sons, in 1990. Upon her marriage to Ervin, her love and dedication blended the two families into one loving family. The closeness of this family is one of the many gifts she gave us that we will forever cherish.

At the family’s Virginia Beach house, June enjoyed gathering family, friends, the “Beach Bunch” and enjoyed time on the beach. After retirement, June and Erve moved to the Wye River. The house on the Wye River was especially meaningful. She created a home for many family vacations and a place for grandchildren to grow important childhood memories.

June is survived by her loving husband Erve and their 5 children, Jill (Kevin) Brimhall, Joy (John) Zdebski, Jamie (Cathie) Jamison, Scott and Kurt (Susan) Easton. Adored Grandmom to Rachel, Brenna, Aidan Zdebski; Katie and Jason Brimhall; Kieran (Megan) and Koby (Karly) Easton.

Quilting was one of June’s passions. As president of the Bayside Quilters of Easton, MD, she poured her enthusiasm and talent into every project. Over the years, she lovingly crafted more than 40 quilts for family and friends, along with 100 lap quilts that were donated to children in Africa, spreading warmth and comfort across the world.

June’s kindness, generosity, and enthusiasm for life touched everyone who knew her. Her radiant smile, loving heart, and boundless energy were a source of joy and inspiration to her family and friends. She embraced life with passion—whether through music, quilting, or creating a home filled with love and laughter. Her legacy of warmth, strength, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
