Ardith M. Wirth

Ardith M. Wirth, 80, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Elsie Vogel Wirth. Miss Wirth was a 1947 graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School. She retired in 1995 from Hamilton Watch where she had been employed as a payroll supervisor for 48 years. Ardith was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and had been active with the Senior Shepherds of the church. Her other memberships included the International Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Chapter Alpha Master for 61 years, and the American Business Women’s Association. She enjoyed reading and volunteering at Lancaster General Hospital, the Arthritis Foundation, the March of Dimes and the American Heart Association. She was preceded in death by a sister Shirley A. Wirth. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Mark L. Russell officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Cedar Lawn Cemetery,  Lancaster, PA.
