Arlene H. Putt, formerly of 127 Whitney Rd., Lancaster died November 26, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Dover, DE. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jason and Ruby Hershey.
She was the wife of Dillon K. Putt who died in 2007. They were married for 43 years.
She retired in 1982 after 42 years as an executive secretary at Armstrong World Industries. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lancaster.
She had many interests with needlework and word puzzles being the most memorable in her later years.
She is survived by: a daughter, Jill H. wife of Dale A. Barr of Dover, DE; grandchildren, Tracey Harris of Haddon Twp., NJ, Dale A. Barr, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Jason M. Barr and his wife, Nicole of Dover, DE; great-grandchildren, Maxwell S. Loper, Christopher D. Loper, Deanna M. Harris, Torin Q. Bishop, Caelan E. Bishop, and Lydia R. Bishop.
Funeral Services will be held from First Presbyterian Church 140 E. Orange St. Lancaster, PA on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 1:00 PM with interment following in Conestoga Memorial Park. Friends may call from 12 to 1 PM at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Arlene’s memory to Modern Maturity Center-Daybreak, 1121 Forrest Ave. Dover, DE 19901 or Delaware Hospice 911 S. Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE 19901.
