Arlyne R. Mccue
Arlyne R. McCue, 90, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the loving wife of William P. McCue to whom she was married to for 37 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth (Dougherty) Stahl.
She spent her career as a seamstress and tailor and was one of the original instructors for the Lancaster Career and Technology Center when it opened in 1971 as the Willow Street Vo-Tech School.
In her spare time she enjoyed continuing her passion of sewing as well as spending time with her adoring family. She spent the past two years of her life at Albright Life Senior Center.
She is survived by two daughters; Jolyne Barnett and Jilann Trainor; three grandchildren, Megan McNicholas (wife of Ryan), Brian J. Trainor (husband of Jessie), and Brandon Trainor; two great-grandchildren Maddon and Maille McNicholas.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend an informal gathering celebrating Arlyne’s life at the Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Humane League, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
