Barbara Ann Fisher, 74, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 3, at the Mennonite Home.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John and Nancy Jane Bell.
She was the loving wife of Levi Fisher, with whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage.
Barbara was a member of Calvary Church of Lancaster, where she played the flute and assisted in the primary department. She enjoyed caring for her family, cooking, and entertaining friends. At the Armstrong Manor, where she and her husband worked, she excelled in hospitality.
Barbara graduated from Manheim Township High School and the Lancaster School of the Bible. She worked with Bible Club Ministries in Wheatley, Ontario, Canada, and served with Child Evangelism Fellowship as a summer Bible teacher.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Timothy S., of Aston, PA, married to Elaine G. Fisher and Brian K., of Lancaster, married to Victoria T. Fisher; her 3 grandsons: William, Moses, and Isaac; and her brother: David J. Bell, of San Francisco, CA.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Eric G. Crichton officiating. The family will receive friends at
10 a.m.
until the time of service. A private family interment will be held in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
