Barbara Jayne Lawton

Barbara Jayne Lawton, age 82 of Willow Valley Communities, Willow Street Pa passed away January 10, 2025.

Daughter of the late Charles and Alma Bakia she was born in Chester PA. Barbara graduated from Immaculata College in 1964 with a BA degree in History and from Villanova University in 1967 with an MS in Library Science. She was employed at Widener University as a Librarian. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of the DAR. She attended Grace Community Church in Willow Street.

Barbara is survived by her husband Lawrence, her son Gregory husband of Angela and grandchildren Elizabeth and Brenden.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a Life Celebration on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 11 am at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Rd. Willow Street PA 17584, with Kyle Fisher officiating, friends may greet the at 10 am.

Burial was private at Strasburg Mennonite Cemetery.
