Barbara Ann High

Barbara Ann High, 75, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2016 in her home.  She was born to the late Raymond Shindle and Elva Ibaugh on November 10, 1941.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton J. High, her son, David A. High of Enola, her step-mother, Sarah Shindle of Lancaster, and her brother, Raymond Shindle.

Barbara and Clayton built a loving marriage that lasted over 53 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her loved ones.

Barbara is survived by her sons Michael P. High of Hanover, James J. High, husband of Kathieanne High, of Lititz, and Stephen C. High, husband of Katrina M. High, of Lancaster.  Barbara had eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Barbara is also survived by her brother, Gary Shindle of Lancaster, and her sister, Brenda  Hanson of Manheim.

Barbara loved animals of all kinds, and ran the highly successful Barclay Siamese Cattery with her husband for several years.  She also loved caring for and raising birds.
