Beatrice J. Knapp
Beatrice J. Knapp, 97, a resident of Luther Acres, Lititz, died at the home on Wednesday, February 5, 2014.
She was the wife of the late Walter Knapp, Jr. who died in 1991. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Ada T. Snyder Shuman.
Beatrice was a homemaker and a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Lancaster. She graduated from the former Stevens High School. For many years she enjoyed her work as a Gray Lady at the former Osteopathic Hospital. An accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed making gifts for family and friends.
Surviving is a daughter, Gail I. Dempsey of Lancaster; a son, James E. husband of Barbara Knapp of Occidental, CA; one granddaughter and two step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother James P. Shuman.
Services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
