Betty Jo Vail, 58, of Lititz, died at home on Saturday, August 30, 2014. Betty’s favorite phrase that she lived by was “Enjoy today for tomorrow is not promised.”
She was the spouse of Dorinda J. Corfee Vail. Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of Alfred J. McGinnis of Coatesville, and the late Betty Mae Millard McGinnis.
Betty was a graduate of Coatesville High School and Immaculata University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She retired from the Coatesville Veteran’s Hospital where she had been employed as a nurse for 30 years.
She was a member of the National Wildlife Federation, Arbor Day Foundation and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Her interests included hunting, fishing, sports, going to the Hollywood Casino and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving besides her spouse and father is a brother Donald J. husband of Patricia McGinnis of Coatesville.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
