Betty Mae Hopkins

Betty Mae Hopkins, 83, of Lititz, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at her home.  She was the loving wife of the late Robert M. Hopkins who preceded her in death in 2005.

Born in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Lau) Gerbrick.  She developed musical talents in voice and piano that she would later apply to her church involvement. After graduating from the Lancaster School of the Bible Betty and Robert married and started their family in Lancaster. She dedicated much of her life to being a homemaker to focus on raising her children, being involved with Grace Baptist Church where she was a long standing member, and cooking her favorite Pennsylvania Dutch delights for family gatherings.

She is survived by her three sons; Dr. R. Gary Hopkins of Lancaster, Bradley L. Hopkins of Drexel Hill, PA, and Ronald W. Hopkins of Winter Springs FL; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Grace Baptist Church, 1899 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603. Viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.   Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.
