Blanche I. (Flory) Kuhn, 87, of Lancaster, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Oak Leaf Manor, Millersville, PA. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nelson E. Kuhn in February, 1997.
Blanche was born in Lancaster, PA on March 30, 1927 to the late Rufus G. and Florence (Matthias) Flory.
She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Lancaster, PA.
She and “Nels” enjoyed traveling and visited Hawaii, the Caribbean, Canada, and Bermuda as well as many places in the U.S. mainland. In her later years, Blanche loved spending the winter months with her sister-in-law, at a condo in Stuart, FL.
Blanche was gifted with a very kind, gentle spirit and, thoughtfully, remembered each of her family and friends with a greeting card for their birthday or other special occasions. Photographs of the people she loved were proudly displayed in her home.
Blanche is survived by her sister-in-law, Josephine Kuhn, her nieces Bonnie Allman, Beverly Stehman and nephews Michael Carr, Norman Carr, Robin Carr and Earl Suter. In addition, she will be missed by her many great nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Ann Carr and Mary Talarico.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 540 W. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA, 17603 on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at noon with the Rev. Kurt S. Strause officiating. Friends may greet the family from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Longenecker’s Reformed Mennonite Cemetery.
Blanche’s family would like to thank the staff at Oak Leaf Manor and the Grane Hospice Group for the love and kindness she received while in their care.
