Burton T. Shaffer, Jr.

Burton T. Shaffer, Jr., 91, of Conestoga, died at home on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.  He was a resident of Millersville prior to moving to Conestoga.

Burton was married to Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Dull Shaffer who preceded him in death on May 1, 2012.

He was the son of the late Burton T., Sr. and Edith Alsip Shaffer.

Burton was employed by High Steel Structures of Lancaster prior to retirement.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Millersville and a member for 50 years of the Charles M. Howell Lodge # 496 F. & A.M. and served as Past Master and Secretary.

Surviving are his daughter, Linda E. Shaffer of Conestoga and his son, Burton T. Shaffer, III of Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Millersville Community United Methodist Church, Grace Campus, 163 W. Frederick St., Millersville, PA with the Rev. John Laughlin officiating.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA, 17602 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. where Masonic Rituals will be offered at 8:00 p.m.   There will also be a visitation at the church on Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will follow the funeral at Conestoga Memorial Park.
