Carolyn Frances Houck, 95, of Lancaster, PA entered into her eternal home on Friday, March 14, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Elsie (Fritzche) Garber. Her husband, John E. Houck died in 1999.
Carolyn graduated from Olney High School on January 26, 1937 and the Philadelphia School of the Bible in 1970 after many years of night school.
She was employed by the Philadelphia School of the Bible as Dr. Douglas MacCorkle’s personal secretary from 1967-1977. She then worked for Central Penn National Bank in Philadelphia until 1977 when her husband retired.
Carolyn was saved at a Billy Graham Rally on September 12, 1961 in Philadelphia. She is a former member of Grace Baptist Church in Lancaster. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Alma Houck. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
