Carolyn Murphy Landis

Carolyn Murphy Landis, 62,  of Lancaster, PA died at Lancaster General Hospital on Sept. 16,2016 of complications arising from an auto accident one year ago .  Born in Syracuse , NY on April 23, 1954, she was the daughter of Rev. Robert B. Murphy and Dorothy Brown Murphy. She attended U. Of Colorado and U. Of Maryland, majoring in Music. Carolyn received an award last year for 25 years of service playing viola for the Reading Symphony. She also worked in medical research as a computer manager at Cephalon and Covance pharmaceutical companies. She is survived by her daughter Rachel, her brother, and two sisters.In lieu of flowers donations will be received by Reading Symphony, c/ o John Mosbo, 147 N 5th St, Ste.4, Reading, PA 19601.
