Carolyn (Cass) Wohlsen Ripple passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014. She was the wife of Paul H. Ripple, M.D. with whom she shared 67 years of marriage.
Born in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Albert B. and Kathryne S. Wohlsen, Cass was a graduate of the Shippen School, class of 1941, and Wheaton College, Norton, MA
She worked for a short period in New York City for Guaranty Trust Company at Rockefeller Center. She also volunteered for Crisis Intervention Services in Lancaster.
Cass was a past Secretary of the Auxiliary of Lancaster County Medical Society; Treasurer of the Junior League of Lancaster; a docent at Wheatland, home of President James Buchanan and at Rockford, residence of General Edward Hand.
Besides her husband, Cass is survived by a son Edward, Kentfield, CA and a daughter Carol Ricks, Portland, OR, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a brother, Robert S. Wohlsen. A son, David died in 1972.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in Emmanuel Lutheran Church; 540 W. Walnut St., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, March 22

at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Kurt S. Strause officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Greenwood Saturday, March 22
