Catherine Dowling

Catherine Dowling, 52, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 5, 2014.  Born in Mineola, NY, she was the daughter of Gordon S. Ziegler, Jr. and Barbara Ziegler.  A graduate of Syosset High School in Syosset, NY, she then obtained her associates Degree from Dean College in Franklin, MA, then earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, NY.

She is survived by her two sons, her parents, Gordon S. Ziegler, Jr. and Barbara Ziegler, her brother Chip (Jennifer), her sister, Cynthia A. Anastasi (Danny), and 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Friends may greet the family on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM as well as on Monday, March 9, 2014 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Greyhound Adoption Program(www.ngap.org).
