Charles G. Knight, 97, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was married 70 years to Kathleen Musser Knight. Born in Highfield, Washington County, MD he was the son of the late John and Virgie Baker Knight.
Charles had worked at Permutit for many years. He was a member of the Myerstown Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. He was an avid woodcarver. Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 175th Infantry Division.
Surviving besides his wife is a daughter Glenda H. wife of Lee A. Wenger of Murrells Inlet, SC; two granddaughters, Donna wife of Barry Fornwalt of Myerstown, PA and Cynthia wife of Mao Nguyen of Fredericksburg, PA, five great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; and a brother Glenn F. husband of Dorothy Knight of Ocala, FL.
Services and interment in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
