Charles W. Devenburgh, 60, of Landisville, died Monday August 13, 2012 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.
He was married 39 years to Susan M. Bollinger Devenburgh. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Myron and Charlotte Dupree Devenburgh.
Charles had been employed as an accounting manager at Haller Enterprises. He was a graduate of Hempfield High School and Elizabethtown College and served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Hempfield United Methodist Church. His interests included reading, walking, working in his yard, fishing and skiing.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Zachary S. Devenburgh of Landisville, and Alex D. Devenburgh of Mount Joy; a brother, Robert husband of Bonnie Devenburgh of Mount Joy; a sister, Diane Devenburgh of Belcamp, MD; and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at the Hempfield United Methodist Church, 3050 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Dr. Keith Braucher officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Conestoga Memorial Park.
