Cheryl A. Kieffer
Cheryl A. Kieffer, 67, of Lancaster passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 2, 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late John M. and Evelyn E. (Morrow) Kauffman of Lancaster. She is survived by her husband of 26 years H. Ronald Kieffer.
Until her recent illness, Cheryl was employed by the Downtown Investment District (DID) and Land Transfer, both of Lancaster. She was a graduate of McCaskey High School and the Consolidated School of Business. She served as judge of elections for 10 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and for many years sang in the choir at St. Andrews United Church of Christ. She enjoyed music and going to concerts; reading; knitting; traveling, and vacationing in Ocean City, MD with her daughter and granddaughters.
In addition to her husband, she will be lovingly missed by her daughter Tanya Aston (husband-Todd) and
granddaughters Anna and Maura Aston of Mountville; stepsons Geoff and Christian Kieffer of Millersville; step grandchildren Tristan and Madison Kieffer of Lititz; sisters Barbara Weller, Millersville and Marcia Paisley, Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a son, Frank Pennell and a brother Paul Kauffman.
A funeral service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, corner of Queen and James Streets, Lancaster, PA on Wednesday, December 7th at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Stephen P. Verkouw officiating. A visitation with family and friends will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
