Claude J. Bubb, Jr

Claude J. Bubb, Jr. went to the Lord on December 19, 2012.  Claude was born in Danville, PA December 3, 1919, the son of the late Claude J. and Hazel Bubb. Raised in Milton, he attended the First Methodist Church and graduated from Milton High School in 1937. In 1947, he graduated from Bucknell University with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by Armstrong World Industries for 56 years. He received the Armstrong President’s Award in 1981 for Outstanding Technical Center Employee, the Armstrong General Manager’s Award for Team Excellence in 2001 and he was given a plaque as a thank you by his engineers’ colleagues as their mentor for over five decades. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lancaster.  Claude is survived by his loving wife June of 69 years, by children Claudia Sue, married to Richard Pavlin of Potomac, MD., James married to Carole Bubb of Lancaster, PA, Barbara married to Farouk Eltawila of Potomac, MD and June Ann, married to Dan Coleman of Mount Joy, PA, and by 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Claude Bubb’s name to: WVRC Nursing Education Fund, Willow Valley Retirement Communities, 600 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA 17602.
