Claude L. “Butch” Hildebrand
Claude L. “Butch” Hildebrand, 74, of Lancaster, passed away on March 17, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Claude U. and Margaret Sipe Hildebrand.
After graduating from J.P. McCaskey High School, Butch began working at St. Joseph Hospital for over 40 years as a janitor. He loved bowling and was a member of First Baptist Church. An avid sports fan, Butch loved the Dodgers and the Ravens.
He is survived by a brother; Richard “Dick” Hildebrand of Lancaster, PA, two sisters; Mary Brown (Paul “Skip”) of Gordonville, PA, and Sandra “Sandy” Murphy (Charles) of Willow Street, PA, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother; Robert P. Hildebrand, and a sister; Esther Louise Hildebrand.
Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service at the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster, PA, 17602 at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 25, 2019. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 161 N. Clark, Suite 3550 Chicago, Illinois 60601.
