Clinton K. Burkhart
Clinton K. Burkhart, 100, of Conestoga, died Monday, May 30, 2016.
He was the husband of the late Arline Bauer Burkhart who died in 2003. Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Wayne and Susie Kilhefner Burkhart.
Clinton retired from Hamilton Watch after 35 years of employment. He was a 1935 graduate of East Lampeter High School and had served in the U. S. Army Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Millersville V.F.W. Post 7294, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and following the Phillies. He had bowled in the senior games up until a few years ago.
Surviving is a daughter, Susan Haines of Conestoga; two grandsons, William L. Haines III, and Michael husband of Jennifer Haines; two granddaughters, Tara wife of James Luckenbaugh, and Vanessa L. Haines; 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and another one due in September. He was preceded in death by 11 siblings. He will also be missed dearly by his cat, Callie.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Millersville V.F.W., 219 Walnut Hill Rd, Millersville, PA 17551.
