Dale E. Braithwaite
Dale E. Braithwaite, 88, of Lancaster, PA died September 17, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of the late George L. and Sally Braithwaite.
He worked for Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. and the Nuclear Fuel Division of Westinghouse. Dale served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II, and was a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge # 573, 32
nd
degree.
Dale also coached little league baseball for eight years in Ross Township, a suburb of Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mary Anne; a daughter, Jeanine Dolan Braithwaite, wife of Allan Nathanson; and a son, Dale G., husband of Misty Epperson Braithwaite; three granddaughters, Vivienne Tuckwaite, Kelly Tuckwaite and Faith Braithwaite and a grandson, Samuel Nathanson.
A memorial service will be held at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 AM until time of service. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Allegheny Memorial Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
