Daniel T. Enck

Daniel T. Enck, 95, of Lititz, PA passed away at Landis Homes on January 6, 2025. 

He was the loving husband of Mary Lois (Rutt) Enck. 

Daniel was born in Willow Street, PA to Frank and Elizabeth Enck 

He attended Eastern Mennonite High School. 

For the majority of his working years, he ran Enck’s Delicatessen with his brother, Jesse, in several local farmer’s markets. After retiring from the market business, he worked at L.H. Brubaker, Inc. and Murray Insurance. 

Daniel was a member of Forest Hills Mennonite Church, Leola, PA. 

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, biking, canoeing and hiking. Traveling and photography were valued leisure activities. 

He is survived by his wife, Mary and four children (Beverly Steudler, Daniel L. Enck, Brenda Knepper (Lee), and James Enck (Gloria). In addition, he has four beloved grandchildren (Rebecca, Ryan, Leanne, and Jimmy) and six great-grandchildren. He has a sister, Ann Shertzer, Lancaster, PA and Mary Reitz, Harrisonburg, VA. Daniel was pre-deceased by a brother, Jesse, and a sister Mim. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in the West Bethany Chapel at Landis Homes on Friday, Jan. 10, 2025 at 11 AM with Nina Harnish officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Black Rock Retreat or Landis Homes Caring Fund.
