Daniel F. Miller

Daniel “Dan” F. Miller, 82 of Lancaster, passed away on November 12, 2016 at Brethren Village Retirement Community.  He was the loving husband of Mary E. (Overly) Miller.  Born in Lancaster, PA., he was the son of the late Norman and Rachael (Frey) Miller.

Following serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War he spent much of his career with the former Sealtest Dairy, Moore Dairy, United Twine and Paper Company, and Calder Door & Specialty Co.

An avid historian, in his spare time, he enjoyed attending auctions, spending Sundays at Shupps Grove, studying history and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Mary he is survived by three children; Dean Miller (husband of Gwen), of Lancaster, PA, Melody Groff (wife of Ted) Willow Street, PA and Darryl Miller (husband of Carol) of Lititz, PA; four grandchildren; Lindsay, Zachary, Justin, Whitney and 4 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is a brother, Norman Miller, Jr. of Tennessee and sister-in-law, Nancy Kauffman (wife of Levy) of Lancaster.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
