David K. Bortzfield
David K. Bortzfield, 59, of Lititz, died at home on Friday, May 20, 2011.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late J. Robert Bortzfield and Virginia Stinson Habegger.
David was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ in Lancaster. He was a graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School and the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. David was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed photography.
Surviving is a son, Broc Bortzfield of Lititz; a brother, James Bortzfield of Lancaster; step-mother, Martha Bortzfield of Lancaster; step-brother, Jerrell husband of Cathy Habegger of Selinsgrove; and a step-sister Sandra wife of Jack Hess of Lancaster; and an uncle James N. Bortzfield of W. Palm Beach, FL. He was preceded in death by a step-father Joel Habegger.
Services and interment were private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the V Foundation for Cancer Research, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513.
