David M. Wilson

David M. Wilson, 76, of Lancaster, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at M o r a v i a n Manor in Lititz.  He was married 33 years to Jerry L. Ryan Wilson. Born in Norristown, he was the son of the late Lawrence E. and Dorothy Marshall Wilson. David graduated from the Eaglebrook School in Deerfield, MA and the Brooks School in N. Andover, MA. He also attended the University of Pennsylvania and Franklin and Marshall College. He had worked at Fulton Bank in the trust department and for the former Holder, Decker & Brisson Real Estate Co. David had served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany.  He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church where he had served on the vestry and was a former Junior and Senior Warden. His hobbies included traveling, skiing, golf and tennis. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Suzanne M. wife of Jay Schumann of Willow Street, and Anne W. wife of David Wineholt of Timonium, MD; a stepdaughter, Gale H. Schwindt; a stepson, Cliff Henny both of Pawleys Island, SC; two granddaughters Cayli M. Schumann and Natalie E. Wineholt; a grandson, Marshall D. Wineholt; a brother, Robert McGuinnis of Boulder, CO; a sister Theodora Milner of Aiken, SC and a cousin Ethel Pinkerton of Quarryville. He was preceded in death by a son David M. Wilson, Jr. and by a brother Dennis Wilson. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 301 St. Thomas Road, Lancaster, PA. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
