Demetria Quevedo, age 88 of Lancaster died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 3, 2023.
She was born in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic on December 22, 1934, she worked at Lancaster Host Resort for 18 years.
Demetria, also known as Leonida, loved spending quality time with her family and friends. She was quick to offer her love, support, and advice when those she cherished needed it.
Leonida will always be remembered for her witty responses and her facial expressions that needed no words.
Surviving to mourn her passing are daughters, Ramona Lami of Lancaster PA, Elisa Quevedo of Lancaster PA, Neireda Quevedo, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, sons, Jose Antonio Quevedo of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Lucas Quevedo, Lancaster PA. Grandchildren, Emmanuel Sanchez, husband of Lucia Sanchez, Lancaster PA, Jocelyn Sanchez wife of Wilfredo Colon, Lancaster PA, Jonathan Sanchez, Lancaster PA, Nathaniel Sanchez husband of Lauren Sanchez, Lancaster PA, Keila Villaman, Lancaster PA, Oscar Villaman, Lancaster PA, Brandon Villaman, Lancaster PA, and Athena Quevedo, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and her great grandchildren; Savannah Sanchez, Jonathan Sanchez, Josiah Sanchez, Amyah Flowers, Jonnalyze Sanchez, Zaire Sanchez, Sophia Sanchez, Jonovan Sanchez, Joziyus Sanchez, Daniela Sanchez, Manuel Colon, Ibrahim Colon, Gianna Sanchez, Hennessey Castro, and Zayo Villaman.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to a visitation on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 11 am until the service of remembrance at 1:00 pm at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster PA 17602. The service will be Livestreamed at the following link:

Burial services will follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery (New Section Behind Mellinger Mennonite Church) Lincoln Highway, Lancaster. The Rev. David Torres will officiate the services.
