Dolores M. Buckwalter
Dolores M. Buckwalter, 79, passed away at Hospice of Lancaster County on Saturday, April 2, 2011 to go with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born in Girard, OH, she was the daughter of the late Francis B. and Ruth Sharp Pinkerton. She was married for 58 years to Robert E. Buckwalter, Jr.
A 1948 graduate of McCaskey High School, she worked as a secretary for ALCOA, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting, reading and listening to gospel music.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: a son, Robert E., III husband of Deborah Buckwalter of Leola; 2 daughters, Cheryl wife of John Hohenadel of New Providence, Pam Miller, companion of John Kline of East Petersburg; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a sister, Arlene Robinson of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a brother, Warren B. Pinkerton.
A memorial service will be held from St. Paul’s Church, 1 W. Fourth St., Quarryville, on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 1 PM. Private interment will be in Riverview Burial Park.
