Donald A. Becker

Donald A. Becker, 70, of Newmanstown, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy. Born on August 7, 1944, in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Alfred M. and Madelyn E. Messersmith Becker.

After graduating from Hempfield High school in 1962, Donald went on to attend Millersville University. He then went on to work for PPL for over 40 years until his retirement.

Donald was a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan and loved listening to the Beach Boys. He had a special affinity for his pets, including his dog Shadow, and his three horses, Dakota, Chism and J.P.

He is survived by his two sisters, Susan M. Bowman, and Sheryl L. Kresge, both of Lititz.

He is predeceased by his parents, Alfred M. and Madelyn E. Becker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 100 New Haven St., Mount Joy, PA, 17522 on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jerry Berrier officiating. Friends may greet the family from 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday May 21, 2015 at the DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 2024 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603, and on Friday at Trinity E.C., from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will immediately follow the service in Mount Annville Cemetery, in Annville, PA.
