Donald C. Kochel

Donald C. Kochel, 92, of Lancaster, died on January 1, 2012 at the Hospice of Lancaster County. Donald was married to the late Joan Wagner Kochel for 55 years. He was the son of the late John Weidler and Katherine Crangle Kochel. Donald is survived by his three children, Jane Kochel Sloman of East Berlin and her husband William; John Kochel of Trappe and his wife Marie; and Donna Kochel Verner of Elizabethtown. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

Donald retired from Margolis Wine & Spirits of King of Prussia. He was an original member of the Conestoga County Club in Lancaster. He served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate (I), First Class during World War II. Donald was also a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St, Lancaster PA on Friday, January 6th at 11:00am, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00. Interment at the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery will follow the service.
