Donald L. Sweigart

Donald L. Sweigart, 64, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2018.  Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late LeRoy F. and Marian (Groff) Sweigart.

Following his graduation from High School, Donald spent much of his career as a driver owning and operating his own truck.

An avid ice hockey fan, he spent much of his spare time cheering for his Hershey Bears with friends and family.

He was a member of Hempfield United Methodist Church.

In addition to his mother Marian, he is survived by two sisters; Deborah Kreider (wife of Lewis) of Quarryville, PA and Dawn Brady (wife of Douglas) of Katy, TX.  Also surviving are a nephew and nieces, Rachel, Ryan, Andrea and Amie; and great-nieces and nephew Tyler, Madelynn, Morgan and Mackenzie; In addition to his father, he was predeceased by an infant brother Kenneth.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at Hempfield United Methodist Church, 3050 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601 on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow the service in Hempfield Church of the Brethren Cemetery.  A viewing will be held the night prior, on Monday, January 15, 2018 at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E.
