Donald R. Striffler, 79, of Willow Street, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Willow Valley Retirement Community. He was the loving husband of Christine (McCollom) Striffler who preceded him in death in 2000.
Born January 31, 1934 in Queens, NY he was the son of the late Sarah and Joseph Striffler.
He was considered a craftsman and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.
Donald proudly served in the US Army.
He was a active member of Hydewood Park Baptist Church in North Plainfield New Jersey for many years before moving to Willow Valley. He then attended Calvary Church when he moved to Lancaster.
He is survived by his three daughters; Paula Black or Perth, Ontario, Canada, Linda Condon of Reston, VA, and Donna MacGorman of Howell, NJ; 7 grandchildren, Faith Black, Jordan Schmidt, Mae Carlson, Anna Curits, Glynis Condon, Zachary MacGorman and Kelly MacGorman; and one great-grandson, Guy Schmidt. He is also survived by two brothers; William Striffler of Levittown, NY, and Allen Striffler of Rye, NY.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Lakes Manor Auditorium at Willow Valley Retirement Community located at 300 Willow Valley Lakes Dr., Willow Street, PA 17584 on Saturday, July 7, 2013 at 10:00AM. Interment will take place in Somerset Hills Memorial Cemetery, located at 95 Mt. Airy Rd., Basking Ridge, NJ.
