Doris Coble Stief
Doris C. Stief, 88, of Lancaster, died Sunday, August 17, 2014.
She was the wife of the late William U. Stief who died in 2003. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Elsie Stermer Coble.
Doris was a graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School and a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family.
Surviving is a son, Larry W. Stief husband of Koren Holliday; two daughters, Melanie E. wife of Bernard Reading, and Sheryl L. Childs all of Lancaster; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; and two sisters, Joanne Eby of Brownstown, and Judy C. wife of George Hinkle of Lewes, DE.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Road, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Mark L. Russell officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Stief’s memory may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
