Doris J. Burton, 84, of Lancaster, passed away March 15, 2014. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary H. Reitzel Fisher. Her husband, James W. Burton died in 2008.
She adored her family more than anything, but loved cooking, collecting cookbooks, poetry, music and dancing, and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her daughter, Dee D. Allen, and her granddaughter, Lauren Paige Allen, both of East Petersburg and four cousins.
Friends are invited to attend a viewing and time of sharing at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Tuesday, March 18
th
from 6-8 p.m. Private interment will be in Mountville Cemetery.
