Doris M. Andrew

Doris M. Andrew, 94, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on May 25, 2017 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was the loving wife of the late Charles A. Andrew as well as to her first husband, Robert Borchardt.

Born in Lancaster, PA., she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothea (Smith) Jenkins.

After graduating from J.P. McCaskey High School, she spent much of her career as a production worker with Kerr Glass Manufacturing.

Doris was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lancaster.

In her spare time, she enjoyed travelling, collecting coins, and spending time with her family.

Surviving, are two daughters, Cheryl, wife of Barry Killian of Lancaster and Deborah, wife of Robert Buckwalter of Leola; a son, Charles “Bud,” husband of Mary Wireback Andrew, of Lancaster; seven grandchildren, Wendy Jordan, Holly Cheek, Brent Buckwalter, Rachel Greene, Justin Buckwalter, Caroline Smith and Emily Yecker; and seven great-grandchildren, Dakota Jordan, Brady Jordan, Amber Jordan, Liam Cheek, Ella Cheek, Zachary Buckwalter, and Tyler Buckwalter.  She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Borchardt, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 517 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA, 17602 with the Rev. Stephen P. Verkouw officiating.   A viewing will occur from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park.
