Doris Marie Neiman Leibold, age 86, died peacefully at Conestoga View, Lancaster, on Sunday, December 14.
She retired in 1986 from Armstrong World Industries after 38 years of service. She was a supervisor in the Floor Order Sales and Services Department, and served on the Executive Board for the Activities Association for more than 25 years.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church where she was active as a greeter and a lector.
Doris enjoyed dancing, reading and writing poetry. Many of her poems were published in the USA and Europe by the International Library of Poetry, some of which were published in “The Best Poems and Poets” of a given year.
During World War II she served as a USO hostess serving in Lancaster, Indiantown Gap and Bainbridge.
She is survived by her son, Charles Leibold, Jr. (Torreen) and daughter Diane Griffith, both of Lancaster. Doris has four grandchildren (John and Jason Griffith and Derek and Ashley Leibold) and 6 great grandchildren (Tyler, Brittiny, John, Makayla, Malea, and Aralynn).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Leibold, Sr., her grandson, Derek Edward Leibold, a great grandson, John Robert Griffith V, and her twin sister, Dorothy Neiman Sipling.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Lititz Pike and Delp Roads, Lancaster, PA on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Craig A. Ross officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park on Friday, December 19
