Doris Trimble, affectionately known as "Grammy," passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, at the age of 91. A resident of Trillium Place in Lancaster, PA, Doris gained her wings surrounded by the love of family and friends.

 Born in Fulton Township, Lancaster County, Doris was the daughter of Emmett Altland and Edith Jenkins Altland. She was married for 52 beautiful years to Harry Robert Trimble, who preceded her in death in 2005.

 Doris spent over 45 years as a dedicated medical transcriptionist, with the majority of her career at St. Joseph Hospital. Known for her quick wit, dry humor, and boundless creativity, she brought joy and laughter to everyone she encountered.

 A woman of deep faith, Doris was a longtime member of Silver Spring Baptist Church. Her life was a testament to her devotion, strength, and love for her family. She was a resident of Woodcrest Villa for 18 years and later Mennonite Home (now Trillium Place) for 3.5 years. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Mennonite Home for the outstanding care she received in her final years.

 Doris is survived by her children, Patrick (Susan) of Lancaster, PA; Mike (Sherri) of New Providence, PA; and Margie of Columbia, PA. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a cherished family friend, Karen Hallacher of Lancaster, PA. Doris was preceded in death by her daughter, LuAnn Trimble; sons, Steven Trimble and Scott Trimble; and five sisters.

 Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Doris’s life on Monday, November 25, 2024, at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home, 141 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a short service. Final interment will take place at Silver Spring Baptist Church.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doris’s name to Tandem Living (formerly Mennonite Home) 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.

Doris’s legacy of love, humor, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
