Dorothy K. Miller, 96, of Willow Street, passed away on May 5, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Penrose Miller who preceded her in death in 1988.
Born in Pequea Twp., in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel L. and Emily G. (Kauffman) Hackman.
Dorothy dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker.
In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts of all types and participating in her knitting club at Grace Community Church where she was an active member.
She is survived by a daughter, Joyce A. Miller and by a son, Charles W. Miller (husband of Shirley) all of Willow Street, PA; grandchildren, James E. Miller (husband of Jessica) and Mindy Paglia (wife of Lee); and three great-grandchildren, Luke, Joshua and Cain. Also surviving are two sisters, Miriam Longenecker and Audrey Eshleman (wife of the late Dennis). In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Penrose H. Miller, Jr. and James E. Miller as well as by siblings, Charles S. Hackman, Harry E. Hackman, Glenn Hackman and Helen Eshleman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service at Grace Community Church, 212 Peach Bottom Rd, Willow Street, PA 17584 on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The family requests that you dress casually. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Boehm’s United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Grace Community Church at the address listed above or to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O.
